The paths in Limone sul Garda: THE SUN TRAIL

Limone sul Garda offers many ideas for all of them equipped with a lot of curiosity, a good pair of shoes and want to discover our territory.
One of the most beautiful trail is the Suntrail , which is also approachable by everyone.
The path goes through the centre and then will coast the lake in direction of Riva del Garda. Once reached the main road Gardesana, the trail continues through the pine-wood till the extreme point of the village, Capo Reamol.
From May to September, every Tuesday,the local alpine group organizes a free guided excursion to the same itinerary.

Walk description:
From Piazza Garibaldi, walk along via Porto and via Nova, passing the Se and Sopìno torrents. Take Via Reamòl to the square on the Gardesana Road (h. 0:40). Head north for approximately twenty meters. When the sidewalk ends, cross the street and take the trail lined by pine trees, Holm oaks, and cypress trees, with vestiges of German fortifications built between 1943 and 1945.
Follow the signs, cross the gravel gorge and bear left at the fork. The trail will gently zigzag up the hill and meet up with trail n. 122, which leads to Punta Larici and the Palàer alpine farmhouse. Once you arrive at Dòs dela tèra, leave the trail for Punta Larici, bear right and you'll reach a calchérà, a characteristic limestone furnace (30 min - h. 1:10).
Beyond the furnace, the trail branches off: bear left and take the more level road, which overlooks the Reamòl lemon house. After passing a large fountain (10 min - h. 1:20), head north. The trail descends. After a hairpin bend, turn left and continue north.
The trail passes the entrance of an anti-aircraft shelter and a trench, then crosses the Larici Valley and gently ascends to a World War I outpost that overlooks Torbole and Riva (20 min - h. 1:40).
To return to Limone, follow the same trail to the support post of the rock protection fencing. After descending about 30 meters, follow the trail amidst the stones. Cross the terraced olive grove, and you'll find yourself once again in the Panorama Hotel parking lot. Take Via Reamòl, which will lead to Piazza Garibaldi (h. 1:30 - h. 3:10).
